Closing the wealth gap.

If Black families would start eliminating their debt, stop their use of credit cards, and begin to save, the wealth gap between "races" could be wiped out (yes, I said wiped out) in one, two generations tops.

Continued education and will, the everpresent challenge. It will require a sea change in thought about money and what we do with it.

Closing the gap will require much more than families not using credit cards, saving money, etc. Within African American we have the entreprenuerial and investment expertise to get these things done. But the skills and talents in the black community are not shared within the black community. People say save money, etc. but we must learn to invest and build businesses AMONGST EACH OTHER as well. Because a lot of us have these skills; there are black people doing every concievable thing that can be done. But they don't have the support of their communities.

So how can we build a tradition of investing in our own communities?
