I've spent a decent amount of time in most of the countries that surround Switzerland ( France, Germany and Italy). The vibe when I walk down the street in those countries is different. I'm not saying that racism doesn't exist in them, but it's a different type…a more…modern type. One that I can deal with. That's the only way I can term it. Here in Switzerland, there's a particular *look* that I get from some whites. I've tried explaining this to folks, even the hub, but I've failed miserably.
