[...] Kerry is not flawless. I believe his faith in the current administration was misplaced on the eve of the war with Iraq, and I think his campaign has been pathetic in its indictment of the current regime's treasonous conduct. But no candidate is perfect. As history tells us, even our greatest leaders have some sort of repugnant flaw to their character. Quite honestly, I believe that Kerry's flaws are of the more superfluous variety and side issues to the high caliber of his qualifications. The American people do not need a scofflaw, a drinking buddy or a CEO. They want, and deserve, a president. John Kerry is that man. [...]

[...] I considered writing in a Green Party candidate; after all, it's how I voted in the 2000 election. This time around things are a little too thick for me to make the same decision. I realize that principles are at stake, as well as the viability of a third, alternate party. I even know that the race in Georgia won't be close, and I could've easily made a different (and perhaps better reasoned) choice. This time around, I couldn't take that step.

[...] Thus far, I have decided to reward Bush for his initiative and his efficiency, but not for his results. In remaining with Bush I am being partisan. [...] Kerry has done nothing to substantiate the two mulligans I gave him, which I would still value if he manages to pull an upset. Bush still has my vote, but not all of my confidence. Kerry has none of my confidence and several negatives to overcome, but I don't think he's a total loser. In either case I am truly burned out, and don't want to see either candidate, nor do I look to hear new things about the campaigns. [...]

[...] I’m voting for Bush because as a Christian, I believe his policies and values are more in line with my own, unlike John Kerry’s. Following biblical principles trumps my skin color. I went down the list of issues, emphasizing child killing. After a few seconds of silence, hoping I’d made some headway, he started talking about the war in Iraq again. [...]

[...] I'm voting Cobb, of course -- my support can not go to someone who does not support my equality under law. In fact, the thought of a Kerry presidency depresses me to no end. But I admit it -- it would please me to see Bush and his henchpersons get the boot. [...]

I will be really glad when the election is over. I'm tired of hearing about who's not what and what who can't do for us and how so-and-so lied and all that racket. To be very honest, I do not care. Really. Homage to my forebears notwithstanding, I'm not voting this year. If I were going to vote, I would probably be more likely to vote for Bush, since the only argument for Kerry seems to be that he's not Bush; I can't support a man without a plan. Having said that, I'm not all that impressed with Bush either. This whole war in Iraq is very suspect to me. I've read more about it than I care to know, just so I could have a good understanding of the possible logic surrounding it, but the bottom line is that I think there's much more going on behind the scenes than we know. I don't have any proof, and if I did, I probably wouldn't go into it here, because I don't care enough to debate the issue. I'm just saying. When it comes to presidential timbre, Bush is suspect and Kerry is exonerated. I can't, in good conscience, vote for either one of them. Politricks is dirty and this year, I'm choosing not to participate. I "forgot" to register on purpose - in two states. But that's just me. [...]
