- Steve Vedder's Grand Rapids Press article "Race not an issue for African-American hockey player" Of course not! He's been black, what, his whole life, right? Oh, that's right, they mean other people.
- Allan Wolper's Ethics Corner column for Editor and Publisher "One Black List That Shouldn't Be Short" More sports editors at newspapers? Yes, please!
- Josh White's Washington Post article "Steady Drop in Black Army Recruits" Enough people have trouble with exposure to lead that I don't find aversion to bullets all that surprising. (We won't even get into depleted uranium.)
- Roger Ebert's "Who is that mad black woman?" I think it's Tyler Perry. I'd never heard of the guy before his movie's release, but then again, I must not be hanging out at the right theaters.
- Charnicia E. Huggins' Reuters (via ABC News) article "Folk Remedies Common in Black Community" and Randolph E. Schmid's Associated Press (via ABC News) article "Report: Poor Health Care Hurting Blacks" are strong medicine.
