If you need proof that black women know how to mind their businesses, look no further than Blackfeminism.org's "African American Women and Entrepreneurship"

Also noticed recently: USA Today's editorial "Black men fall behind," which uses data in the American Council on Education's annual "Minorities in Higher Education Twenty-first Annual Status Report" (Perhaps downloadable? I don't know, but you can start with "Reflections on 20 Years of Minorities in Higher Education and the ACE Annual Status Report (2004)" -- 318 KB in PDF format -- or send word if you find it before I do.)

Perhaps useful: ACE's "Annual ACE Report Shows Minority College Enrollment Continues to Climb, but Gaps Persist in the Rate at Which Students of Color Attend College Compare"
