Compared with Caucasian women, a college education appears to be less likely to protect African American women from obesity, according to new research. U.S. investigators found that the weight gap between African Americans and Caucasians widened with increasing schooling. For instance, although women of both races appeared to have the same average weight if they got no more than a high school education, African American women with a college degree significantly outweighed Caucasian women with a college degree.
