We seem to be always be thinking about ourselves and what we've got and how rich we are and how many cars and women we have, and that's mind-blowing to me." | A quote from rocker Lenny Kravitz in Nekesa Mumbi Moody's Associated Press (via Newsday) article "No Major Aid Movements by Black Artists" ropes in other top musicians and industry figures' takes. posted in articles on June 30, 2005 11:59 PM | t (0) « Previous phile: 'Seems that the sources of mistrust are deeper than any particular event.' » Next phile: 'Well, surely the judge knows something I don't know.' I think he's right... it does in my head as well. I wonder how is it that these rappers and such simply don't care to struggle with their people, choosing instead to revel in the spoilt debauchery their kind of wealth entails. Thanks for this post, I've further reason to admire Lenny Kravitz (who I've appreciated since "Mama Said"). sungoddess, July 1, 2005 3:26 AM
