Cosby's a hell of a comedian.
"I'm surprised that (Cosby's comments) were made into the media phenomenon that it was. I don't necessarily agree with everything that Dr. Cosby said, but I don't think there's a person in America who can understand what it's like to be Bill Cosby," Chappelle says, adding with a laugh that "no one is as uncomfortable as a black man with money." "I don't have a murdered child. I didn't go through all the things Bill Cosby went through, and I just think he's being judged unfairly. I'm not saying I agree with what he says. But I think Bill Cosby can say whatever he wants. "And the crazier he talks, the more I like him. I've been wanting to see a crazy Bill Cosby all my life." | A quote from Dave Chappelle in Susan Young's ANG Newspapers (via Alameda Times-Star) article "This isn't so new for Cosby," which also includes some Russell Simmons comments posted in articles on August 17, 2004 7:26 AM | t (0) « Previous phile: Talks about Obama's 'post-racial' identity. » Next phile: Honoring the black pioneers rock rolled over. Well I guess I am in the minority because I happen to agree with much of what I read of Dr. Cosby's comments - as reflected in my blog entry a week or so ago. Enjoy your site! Ruth Ferguson, August 17, 2004 8:15 AM
